Fried Chana Dal In English Required Ingredients


1. Chana dal 250 grams
2. Two cups of oil for frying
3. Chaat masala 1 tsp
4. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
5. Mango powder one spoon
6. Salt as per taste
7. One spoon finely ground black salt

Method to make chana dal -


We will make chana dal in just a few steps, read step by step. First of all, wash the dal thoroughly with water 3-4 times and then keep the chana dal soaked in water for 6-7 hours or you can also keep the dal overnight to soak. If you want to cook dal in the morning, then keep the dal to soak overnight. Add water to the dal up to 2 inches so that the chana dal can completely submerge in the water and swell properly.

1. Dry the soaked lentils a little, if you want you can keep them in the cooker or under the fan. We have to dry the water of the pulses, so let it air dry for 10-15 minutes.

2. Now put oil in the pan and heat it well, when the oil becomes hard then put the pulses in the oil and fry for three-four minutes and then when the color of the pulses changes slightly then take out the pulses from the oil. And leave it to cool on paper for 10 minutes.

3. After 10 minutes, the oil in the pan will have cooled down. Now heat the oil in the pan again and put the dal once again in the hot oil and fry it for four-five minutes. When the dal is fried and becomes crispy, then take the dal out of the oil.

4. Add salt, red chilli powder, mango powder, chaat masala and black salt to the dal and mix the spices well in the dal so that the spices stick to all the dal and the delicious market like chana dal fry is ready. You can keep it by filling it in a glass jar.

Suggestion-

You can also add turmeric powder to make the color of lentils light yellow.

To fry the pulses, place a thick wire strainer in the pan and then add the pulses and fry them, this will separate the oil and the pulses.

You should dry the pulses soaked in water thoroughly, otherwise the oil may sputter when you put it in oil. You can also soak the lentils for 6-7 hours!
